Hi, I am looking for my grandfather's records. All I have to-date is three numbers and a photograph.(attatched)

From my own research,I believe he belonged to the north midland 'division'(if that is the correct military term) joining at clay cross in derbyshire,as a volunteer and my mother mentioning they were massed at luton in bedfordshire. I have no idea of his age at anytime through his military life.

His name and the three numbers are as follows- George Henry Clements 1770 820256 307371

My grandfather is left on the photograph.

If anyone can help I would be much obliged.

Kind Regards

matt.

As Tew mentioned above his papers have survived and are on line, he did serve with the 1/6th and 2/8th Battalions, plenty of information to digest in there for you including him training near Luton, being wounded in the forehead on the 1st July 1916 and POW etc. BRONNO.
