MikeyH Posted 6 September , 2014 Share Posted 6 September , 2014 5th Batt. Very nice example with early type cocking piece, also piling swivel fitted. Is it a shooter? Very envious! Mike
Lancashire Fusilier Posted 6 September , 2014 Share Posted 6 September , 2014 Very nice, especially with the matching serial numbers. Regards, LF
trajan Posted 6 September , 2014 Share Posted 6 September , 2014 I don't really do rifles (can't collect as I am a resident foreigner not a Turkish citizen) but I have to admit that that one looks very sweet!
sgt-maj Posted 6 September , 2014 Share Posted 6 September , 2014 A very nice BSA 1917 example. Everything looks to be original except for the rear-sight bar = a replacement from another rifle, and re-stamped to your item. Nice to see a 1917 example with a pre-1916 rear-sight protector (milled), although it is not a rare occurrence.
