Biggu Posted 27 August , 2014 Share Posted 27 August , 2014 Well, through digging , we have found another great uncle ( on my wife's side) who served. We found most of the info we think we 'need' although his Medal card shows " 126th Battery" RFA..... I was searching the Long Long Trail site and am somewhat confused as to where or what division this Battery would be connected. Also once again looking for a 'citation' for his MID, can anyone shed some light please?
Coldstreamer Posted 2 September , 2014 Share Posted 2 September , 2014 very unlikely to find a citation for a MiD - you could try local newspapers
David Porter Posted 2 September , 2014 Share Posted 2 September , 2014 They were in 29th Brigade RFA, 4th Division. See http://www.1914-1918.net/rfa_units_29.html

ForeignGong Posted 3 September , 2014 Share Posted 3 September , 2014 That is a very early MID as it covers up to Nov 1914. Did he survive the war, I hope so. As for why he was awarded an MID, try War Diary.
