Hi,

I am hoping to find the history of my Great grandfathers brother Thomas Dunphy who served in the Royal Navy during WW1 he worked as a miner at Marley Hill Colliery and lived in the village of Marley Hill, Co,Durham I have joined Ancestry but could not find any records about his military history on that site. I have spoke to my Nan who is a grand old 94 yrs and she told me he is a bit of a mystery but that her dad John Dunphy (RAMC WW1) told her he had been badly affected by the war on his return.

Any help or info would be most welcome.

Best regards Gary.
