alanlw Posted 25 August , 2014 Author Share Posted 25 August , 2014 Many thanks. Signaller would fit. Sir Philip Lee Brocklehurst is the chap concerned, 1st Life Guards. Was wounded in October 1914 and posted to the Signal Squadron on return (TNA WO339/11493). In 1917 he was Assistant Superintendent of the Physical Training Corps in Aldershot. The rest of his army career in WW1 is a bit of a mystery to me, though I know he ended up in Sudan as part of the Anglo -Egyptian Army. Alan According to the War Diary of the 1st Life Guards, he left the regiment on 7 Sept 1915 to take over the 7th Signal Troop (I think, or Corps?). In which war diary should I be able to find him after that? Thanks.
