Remembered Today:

Jutland Boys

Pals may be interested in the attached photo.

It was in an album compiled by my partner's late mother. Her father (my partner's Grandad) John F Tanner (known by all as Bob Tanner - think popular names of 2 pre-decimalisation Brit coins) was a stoker and was apparently sunk - and survived - in both world wars, at Jutland in WW1.

It is a postcard, unposted, with no description other than the "Jutland Boys" label on the front. It is a newsprint style photo (photogravure??) so I don't think it's possible to get a clearer view of any of the cap bands.

Has anyone seen this one before? Any idea who any of these chaps are?

Regards

Jim
