sjustice Posted 6 August , 2014 Share Posted 6 August , 2014 Hello All, Here is one of the relatively well known © National Portrait Gallery photographs of Douglas Haig taken by Alexander Bassano (Bond Street, London) in a sitting on 16 January 1917. I have two questions for the Medals Forum: 1) Can you tell me (in order, left to Right as shown) precisely what medals and awards are depicted by the ribbons 2) Why the two rows are in that order. Many thanks! Simon

sjustice Posted 6 August , 2014 Author Share Posted 6 August , 2014 Hi ScottM, Thanks for the effort. It's interesting that in some depictions the sets appear to be transposed. I really need to have confirmed which awards are definitely present at this sitting as shown. I think it's a big 'ask' but can anyone give the detail from personal expertise? Cheers, Simon
