PhilB Posted 21 October , 2004 Share Posted 21 October , 2004 Gordon (Battles and Medals) says "This medal was issued singly without the Allied Victory Medal to certain regular and mobilized personnel who did not see any fighting". Phil B
N.S.Regt. Posted 21 October , 2004 Share Posted 21 October , 2004 Paul The terms for Canadians are as follows. having served in a thearter of war between 05 Aug. 1914 and Nov. 11 1918, serving in the mission to Russia 1919-1920, and taking part in mine clearing operations from Nov. 11 1918 and Nov. 30 1919. I am sure it is the same for British troops. Regards N.S.Regt.

Guest Ian Bowbrick Posted 21 October , 2004 Share Posted 21 October , 2004 This is not uncommon for soldiers stationed in India/Pakistan. The Army Orders you need to consult are AO 301 of 30 August 1919 amended by AO 421 of November 1919; AO 183 of 10 May 1920; AO 391 of October 1922 & AO 446 of December 1923.
