See the war through the eyes of a young girl born in 1914, an Indian soldier wounded on the Western Front and taken to hospital in the Royal Pavilion, soldiers from Brighton, including a Brighton & Hove Albion footballer, nurses and a gardener who was imprisoned for his pacifist beliefs.Personal letters, diaries, art, photography, costume, film and memorabilia evoke the love, excitement, fear, bravery, grief, loss and longing that touched the lives of millions of people.Reflections on our personal and collective acts of remembrance and commemoration explore the continuing impact of war on our lives.
