Neil Burns Posted 20 October , 2004 Share Posted 20 October , 2004 Hi Zephyr, That is a Polish Eagle it is non-Communist Poland as the Eagle is crowned. Normally Polish Military Eagles are clutching a shield. I'm not sure what the purpose of this particular badge was. Any reverse markings? Take care, Neil
zephyr4 Posted 20 October , 2004 Author Share Posted 20 October , 2004 @Neil Burns There are no markings on the badge.
Neil Burns Posted 20 October , 2004 Share Posted 20 October , 2004 Thank you Zephyr. I was hoping if it had a UK maker's mark we coudl tie it to the Army in Exile. May be a police cap badge (guessing) I would say non-military. Take care, Neil
KONDOA Posted 20 October , 2004 Share Posted 20 October , 2004 RFA = Royal Field Artillery. The number being 5 digits struck me as this being a possibility but not conclusive as no doubt we shall be informedby a more specialised observer.
zephyr4 Posted 20 October , 2004 Author Share Posted 20 October , 2004 @ Neil Burns It measure 3in High by 2 1/2 wide, probably a bit large for a cap badge.
