alf mcm Posted 29 June , 2014 Share Posted 29 June , 2014 When a soldier from the Artillery, Engineers or Rifles {who would be known as 'Gunner', 'Sapper' and 'Rifleman' respectively} were attached to the Labour Corps, would they loose their distinctive titles and all be known as 'Private'. Keith Iles Posted 29 June , 2014 Share Posted 29 June , 2014 Hi Alf don't know if it helps but my Grandfather (see my signature) was a Rifleman in the 2/KRRC he was injured and transferred to the Labour Corps in which his MIC lists him as a Private.
