Bombadier Posted 24 June , 2014 Share Posted 24 June , 2014 I am currently sitting in the cafe of the Royal Armouries museum at Fort Nelson. I have not been here for a while and boy have they got a new toy! Sitting at the entrance to the artillery hall is a 200 ton 18 inch rail gun dated 1918. Apparently 4 were built but not completed before the armistice. Can't work out how to post photos from my phone but I'll keep trying. Added bonus is that entry is free. Indeed, was a thread on this late last year: http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=199946&hl=nelson#entry1962496
