My Grandfather served in the 643rd Home Service Employment Company who were based near Exeter during 1917.On the 1st December 1917 he was transferred from the 643rd Home Service Employment Company to Bodmin Depot for training prior to leaving for France to join up with the 1st Battalion Duke of Cornwall Light Infantry in 1918.Any information on the 643rd Home Service Employment Company regarding their operational function, where they were stationed etc would be appreciated.Chriswww.championfh.net Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
