phiblack Posted 20 January , 2015 Share Posted 20 January , 2015 Interestingly I saw on Ancestry today 'Register of Soldier's Effects' and under his entry it shows his effects going to his mother: Sabina Raney. Looking at Ancestry I found a Sabina Raney in the 1911 census with a son John Raney born 1895. Could it be that John enlisted under a false name??
