doogal Posted 19 October , 2004 Share Posted 19 October , 2004 Hi, I've done a search on "troop ship" across the forum, but haven't had any luck. However, I'm sure a relevant thread would exist - I'm trying to find out which troop ships were operating between Folkestone and Bolougne in early January 1917. Or - is there any resource that would hold this information (Lloyd's?) Can anyone help - with thanks doogal
kin47 Posted 19 October , 2004 Share Posted 19 October , 2004 Yes, the Lloyd record cards would have this information, but it would be a slow plow. The information contained would be the departure and arrival information, sometimes with miscellaneous notes. First, you would have to know what ships you know or suspect were on the route and look at these individual ship voyage cards to get your confirmation. On just a "blind search", you would have to just plow through all the individual ships that serviced that area. Good luck. It is not an impossible task, but it will not be simple. don
