bts1970 Posted 11 June , 2014 Share Posted 11 June , 2014 Good morning all In an attempt to give back a small amount to the forum that has helped me out so much since 2007 I have another PDF file available that may be of interest to someone Purton Remount Depot (14 pages A4) Not much I know but if it helps one person then I will have achieved my aim. Researching the Remount Depots was a near on impossible task until I was helped by a relative of William Robson who ran the Depot in Purton with his boys. Purton was a civilian run Breaking Depot that provided specialist re-training for horses within the Southern area Command. Contact me with your e-mail details & can send on. Best regards to all Bob
Roger Day Posted 16 August , 2014 Share Posted 16 August , 2014 Dear Bob, Would you be kind enough to pass on the PDF file about Purton Remount Depot. I had a great uncle who was at Shirehampton for a few months during 1916 and I want to learn as much as I can about the subject. Thanking you in anticipation, Roger.
