My GF (see Medal Roll Index card below), was awarded the Military Cross. I believe it was in connection with light railway building in Palestine during combat against the Turkish forces.

How do I go about finding out more?

Here is his card

you will see the date of the Gazette is 1/1/19 so there will not be a citation, it is more like a 'New Year's Honour' for his contuned good service rather than for a single deed,

Thank you. Strange, I see that he was made Captain in July 1919. I wonder why this would happen so late.

Is it odd there is NO address on the reverse of the MIC as I've seen for officers? As they had to apply for their medals & provide an address to be sent to them. I note he was ruled not entitled to TFWM either so must've applied for it as well. Date of entry to EEF does not earn a 1914-15 Star.

If he was still serving in the 1920s would he not have been issue them.
