Guest BigbadBoomer Posted 29 May , 2014 Share Posted 29 May , 2014 I am creating a factional diary to cover the whole war aimed at a teenage audience to inform them of what many of them appear to be unaware of how do I get an agent and a publisher
seaJane Posted 29 May , 2014 Share Posted 29 May , 2014 Hm, suspect you are a. reinventing the wheel, b. late for the parade. However: 1. go to your local library and ask what they already have; 2. ditto your local bookshop, especially if they have Publishers' Weekly which will tell you what is in the pipeline; 3. look at the library's copy of Writer's and Artists' Year-Book; 4. ask librarian and bookseller to direct you to the How to Write section, which will include fiction, non-fiction and how to get published. 5. bear in mind that even a well-known and competent writer will take from six months to two years actually writing, and the production process another year at least after that; 6. and the difficulty factor is massively multiplied if you are an unknown quantity, unless you have a brilliant selling point. Good luck! sJ
