As have posted before rainhill Civic Society have been researching every man on our War Memorial,we now have information on all of them except RobertsmI know it's a long shot but can anyone help ?

kathleen donaldson Posted 29 May , 2014 Posted 29 May , 2014 David Roberts name is recorded on the list of men who served in the First World War who resided in the Parish of Whiston. At the time of his death he is recorded as being from Cook Street, Whiston, I live in the Street next to where he lived. Roberts David Cook Street Trooper Lancs Hussars He is not recorded on the Whiston War Memorial. I will be taking steps to have his name recorded on this memorial.
kathleen donaldson Posted 29 May , 2014 Posted 29 May , 2014 He was the son of Moses and and Louisa Roberts. The family are residing at 14, Cook Street, Whiston in the 1911 Census. David Roberts was born in c1890. He was married at the time of his death, if you bear with me I will get his Biography.
