Pabloabadul 1 Posted 4 May , 2014 Share Posted 4 May , 2014 Hello there I am trying to potentially connect two individuals together. I have a relative named David Paterson born in 1881 in Scotland either in Alloa Clackmannanshire or Glasgow kinning park. His residence in Glasgow was at least for 15 years. In 1911 he was baptist a minister living in lancashire England. There is an entry on the medal index cards for a David Paterson :Corps Regiment No Rank Scottish Rifles Chaplain to the Forces. Royal Army Chaplains Department. If anybody could be so kind to look up the details on the medal card specifically the address or remarks to see if it may hold any clues to see whether these two individuals are the same person. Also would a baptist church minister likely give up his post and become an army chaplain what was the process by which you were chosen/became a Chaplain. Many thanks if anybody can be of assistance.
