Seeking Garnham medals and dead man's penny

Hi All,

I'm looking for medals belonging to my Grandad along with medals and dead mans penny for my Great Uncle. I believe they were both entitled to the pair.

Service details are as follows:

2478 Gnr Ernest Edward Garnham RFA

57541 Pte Lawrence Henry Garnham, 7th Bn Royal Fusiliers (Missing 30 October 1917, 2nd Battle of Passchendaele)

Grandad's medals were taken by an unscrupulous 'friend' in the 1930s, who told him that he was entitled to a disability pension and needed them as proof that he served. The medals were never seen again.

I have no idea what happened to Lawrence Henry's medals and penny, they may be in the possession of other family members many times removed but if they are sitting in someone's collection I'd be very interested in them.

Many Thanks

Pete
