Captain Dave Posted 14 October , 2004 Share Posted 14 October , 2004 I thought some people might like to see some of the work created post WW1 in the War Memorials throughout the country. The attatched one at Christchurch always used to intimidate me as a small child, then when I got bigger, I played on it, now I admire it for it's art. (I also don't mind if small children play on it as well.)

jamiemcginlay Posted 14 October , 2004 Share Posted 14 October , 2004 thanks Dave, beautiful memorials and excellent photographs. Was the sculptor a New Zealander? Funny how Kipling has been almost wiped from history as he's not considered p.c., yet he must be the most quoted poet in memorials all over the world.
