jacktar898 Posted 22 April , 2014 Author Share Posted 22 April , 2014 Cheers Andy,I looked on ancestry,I couldn't find anything else about him- I might have bungled the search ! Also are you a bit of an authority on rifle brigade ? Would the 1st battalion have another name such as Sussex rgt or would they be totally separate
stiletto_33853 Posted 22 April , 2014 Share Posted 22 April , 2014 Yikes, the very thought. The Sussex Regiment is completely seperate, a Regiment in it's own rite. Not so sure about an authority on The Rifle Brigade, however it is the Regiment that I spend a lot of time researching, too much time, having been led down this path by an old friend who was a Rifle Brigade/Green Jacket officer and I still regularly meet with old RB men for a chin wag and a pint.
