gem22 Posted 12 October , 2004 Posted 12 October , 2004 The CWGC have introduced a pop-up questionaire to their website. Pals may like to take a minute or two to answer the questions. I particularly liked the opportunity to give feedback on ways I felt it could be improved. I would like to see some additions to the search facilities and now I have had the chance to say so. Others of you may have similar requirement, if so, may I be so bold as to suggest you complete the questionaire. Garth
Terry Denham Posted 12 October , 2004 Posted 12 October , 2004 Those of you that have a decent firewall will not be able to see this pop-up as it will be filtered out. I have asked CWGC if the questionnaire can be made available via another route.
Terry Denham Posted 12 October , 2004 Posted 12 October , 2004 For those of you that cannot see the pop-up, I have reproduced the questionnaire below. Email your completed questionnaire back to media@cwgc.org Please note that these changes do NOT affect the content of the database etc but only the way the site looks on-screen - the 'front-end' - nor does it concern the way the database is searched (I was told this morning). It is about the website as a whole rather than the Debt of Honour in particular. The questionnaire will be removed by CWGC in a couple of days - they have had over 3000 responses so far. wellsms Posted 12 October , 2004 Posted 12 October , 2004 It's a shame they are not considering adding alternative search methods. I thought it would be useful to have a search on Battalion/Regiment/Ship I know the fields are not always completed but it would help with compiling lists. Other obvious ones are where they came from. I did put these suggestions in my response, perhaps if enough people ask..... cheers Mike
Terry Denham Posted 12 October , 2004 Posted 12 October , 2004 It's a shame they are not considering adding alternative search methods. I didn't say that. I said this questionnaire and the changes referred to were only about the 'front end'. The 'front end' and the database are two different projects.
Sue Light Posted 12 October , 2004 Posted 12 October , 2004 For anyone using a Norton Firewall, it's just the ad blocking that stops the pop-up. Just open the programme, click on 'Ad Blocking' and turn it off while you go to the CWGC site. And then turn it back on again... Sue
