SteveMarsdin Posted 1 April , 2014 Share Posted 1 April , 2014 Hi All, A cache of 100+ rounds of French 75mm shells have been found this week at Jehonville, in the Belgian Province of Luxembourg. This sort of thing may happen quite regularly in Flanders but it unusual in this part of the world. The French Army only passed through this location on two occasions on the 22 August 1914 as they advanced to engage the Germans at Anloy and retreated the same day. They could of course have been amassed by anyone after the fighting, from the battlefield but chances are they were left by the 23e regiment d'artillerie, 34e division, 17e corps, 4e armee. http___www.lavenir.net_article_printarticle.pdf
