koyli Posted 11 October , 2004 Share Posted 11 October , 2004 Hi Tom, A few years ago a book was written by a local about these Chateaux. However it is in Flemish. I'll have a look in the local library in Ieper for a copy. It does give a lot of information. I'll get back to you when I've found the book. Aurel Sercu Posted 11 October , 2004 Share Posted 11 October , 2004 Last January there was a thread about Hooghe Chateau in which I posted two or three photos. http://1914-1918.org/forum/index.php?showt...=8277&hl=hooghe And Koyli is right, there is a book about Ypres pre-war castles, in Dutch (Flemish) indeed. koyli Posted 12 October , 2004 Share Posted 12 October , 2004 Hi Tom, I'm assuming by your initial post that you can read and write Dutch, so you should be interested in the following book : Kastelen en landhuizen in Groot Ieper by Valere Priem. Printed by Drukkerij Boussemaere Bvba From Ieper. Koyli
