Great War magazines - from the Daily Mirror Group

The Mirror Group, including some of its regional newspapers, is to publish a range of Great War magazines. My understanding is that there will be a national magazine, priced at £5.99, which will be on sale from early April.

In some parts of the country, there will be a free local supplement included in the price which will look at the war as it affected the catchment area of the regional newspapers and "branded" as such - for example, in Greater Manchester, the supplement will be branded as the Manchester Evening News. The other areas of the country which will have the supplements are Merseyside, Wales, the North East and the Midlands.

The Greater Manchester one will be based on a series of articles published by the newspaper in the autumn and written by local people who have an interest in the war, rather than a journalistic exercise. I presume the other editions will be similarly written so should be of interest to folk.
