Hi

I picked up a single victory medal today. Named to 5962 Pte G (George) Harper Lincolnshire Regiment 2nd Batt)

Is anyone looking for this medal (i.e. is it a family member?)

Hi

5962 Pte G (George) Harper Lincolnshire Regiment 2nd Batt)

Had a quick look at Ancestry and through my records, nothing much showing up so far.

However, No. 5962 Pte. George Harper Linc. R. served with, as his short pre-1917 number tells us, with a TF unit the 1/4th and later with the 6/Lincs.

He was taken into the army at the end of June, 1916. His post 1917 number was 40785.

His MIC and Medal Roll tells us as much.

Cheers
