Rob Bulloch Posted 17 February , 2014 Share Posted 17 February , 2014 Hello the forum. Not sure where to put this? But here goes. I am hoping to get some pointers in regards to researching German Unit Histories, Unit war Diaries or written reports for September 1915 concerning the battle of Loos, with the main with the main subject being Hohenzollern Redoubt. I have been doing some research on this but strictly from a 9th and 15th division point of view and mainly 5th Cameron's I have came to a bit of a slowdown in my research, So I thought to myself "Who were the men at the other side of the wire" What units were involved? Or even what was the frame of mind among soldiers? I feel I have been quite remiss in not including this theme in my research. If any one has any idea's of where to start! I am very open too suggestions. Thank you. Aye Rob.

Tony N Posted 19 February , 2014 Share Posted 19 February , 2014 I was looking for a while for the link to the Reichsarchiv books, found it and then saw MartH had already posted it, anyway, as I eventually found it here's the link for the Reichsarchiv western front book for 1915 up to the end of summer http://digi.landesbibliothek.at/viewer/image/AC01859921/1/LOG_0003/ and from the end of summer to the end of the year http://digi.landesbibliothek.at/viewer/image/AC01859921/1/LOG_0003/ The second link is probably the one you need as it starts from the middle of September, here's the link to the contents for volume 9 http://digi.landesbibliothek.at/viewer/image/AC01859944/11/#topDocAnchor Tony P.S. the link for the contents page doesn't seem to be loading for me but they're on page 11 of volume 9.
