Muerrisch Posted 12 February , 2014 Share Posted 12 February , 2014 Apologies if this has been answered, I have used "Search" The rolls of the 1914-15 star are divided into category A, Cat B and Cat C. Please can anyone explain? Williamson's book seems not to.
Coldstreamer Posted 12 February , 2014 Share Posted 12 February , 2014 For the Coldstream Gds cat B are all died or discharged . C are transferees . Is that what you are meaning ?
Muerrisch Posted 12 February , 2014 Author Share Posted 12 February , 2014 Yes, thank you, that is the impression that I have from looking at the RWF rolls. Are your Cat B men those who neither transferred in or out of the regiment? And the C. men transfers INto the regiment please?
Coldstreamer Posted 13 February , 2014 Share Posted 13 February , 2014 cant say for sure but there is no mention of transfer in B C - yes, all transfers in before the days of easy internet access I used to avoid cat A simply because the research was harder to do the misc/supplement is a mixture of a b and c (and thanks to you asking about thus I found some details on a man I didn't know when looked at the misc)
