alexonsoli Posted 7 February , 2014 Posted 7 February , 2014 Putting Art on the Map is a crowdsourcing project to geo-locate and enrich the fantastic First World War collection held by the Imperial War Museums'. IWM have shared hundreds of First World War artworks on Historypin for you to explore, curate and enrich. The collection is hugely diverse, covering all aspects of the First World War conflict from Britain to Mesopotamia. Historypin have built tools to enable people to geo-locate the artworks and create a collaborative map of First World War art. As well as mapping the collection, the project is running a series of live events, in person and online, to bring people together to solve mysteries within the collection. Three ways you can get involved with the project: Go online and solve mysteries on Putting Art on the Map Watch Twitter, Facebook and Google+ for our #ArtMap mystery posted every day by IWM Come and join us for one of our great live events, see below for details.
