Remembered Today:

11th Division

Would anyone have the war diary for 11th Division or any of its constituent brigades (32/33/34) or battalions that would confirm its position in the line on 21 March 1918? It may be on the Lys or further south - Marzingarbe-Hulluch.

33rd brigade - 9th Bn Sherwood Foresters (and sister battalions) - Hulluch sector and they had been there for some time. Battalion front line had Hulluch virtually in the middle of their line. Loos map, 36.C, NW edition 9a 1/10,000 - G. 12. d 73 10 to H. 19. a 4. 3 . Men killed were buried at Philosophe Mazingarbe and rest billets also at Mazingarbe.

Hi,

The Divisional Headquarters was at Beuvry. Map 36b. NE. F. 14.

Divisional Pioneers working at DHQ, Philosophe and Grenay - Noyelless Line near Railway Embankment.
