Martin Bennitt Posted 24 January , 2014 Share Posted 24 January , 2014 As you say, cracking images, Chris. A great find, but is Robinson on Page 1 really ASC? He looks more like ANZAC to me, though I'm no expert. Cheers Martin B
chrislock Posted 24 January , 2014 Author Share Posted 24 January , 2014 I will leave that one to the ANZAC/ASC experts having been caught out in the past! Agreed. Great image!
wheelsjbl Posted 24 January , 2014 Share Posted 24 January , 2014 I have seen this site before when I was researching some men from Western Australia. One of the prominent Frenchay families is the TUCKETT family, fairly famous in their own right for the exploits of some of the members. My research included several members of that family who emigrated to Australia in the 1800's. Considering they were/are a Quaker family originally, the Tucketts who fought in WW1 in the AIF were in some of the nasty fighting and a large number of Military Medals/Crosses were awarded to them, sometimes in multiples! It was interesting to see the site pop up here!
