John_Hartley Posted 22 January , 2014 Share Posted 22 January , 2014 Very good chance, Ady. There will need to be documentary evidence of the cause of discharge and a death certificate confirming TB. In From the Col Project will be happy to advise once you've got that. John
mmm45 Posted 24 January , 2014 Author Share Posted 24 January , 2014 Thanks John I've passed info to the original poster of what is required and linked them to IFCP. Ady
PaulC78 Posted 30 November , 2020 Share Posted 30 November , 2020 I picked up a DC for Charles Edward Berbridge from the GRO but unfortunately the consular deaths don't appear to include cause of death, so that wasn't helpful. Presumably the death was also registered with the Swiss authorities, but after making some enquiries it seems the cost would be around £100 and it's not certain that they would give out that information to non-relatives in any case. A pity because I think this might have been a good case.

PaulC78 Posted 12 October , 2021 Share Posted 12 October , 2021 Berbridge was put forward anyway and is now commemorated by CWGC: https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/find-war-dead/casualty-details/75466758/charles-edward-berbridge/
