MJROB Posted 17 January , 2014 Posted 17 January , 2014 Hi all,Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of a standard attestation pape r(ideally blank and in its entirety) that was used for recruits during enlistment. An online/catalouge search produces thousands of results spanning a number of conflicts but I'd just prefer a simple example if at all possible. Thanks,Michael
Chris_Baker Posted 17 January , 2014 Posted 17 January , 2014 Are you looking for a volunteer recruit (1914-early 1916) or a conscript (early 1916 onward)? Or a soldier who joined before the war? The forms are all different.
MJROB Posted 21 January , 2014 Author Posted 21 January , 2014 Hi Chris,Many thanks for your response. I should have specified but I was specifically looking for a volunteer recruit's attestation paper. The different forms are another slight source of confusion for me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, sorry for the late reply - I've been away on a break over a long weekend!Regards,Michael
