WhiteStarLine Posted 16 January , 2014 Share Posted 16 January , 2014 Noticed this morning that McMaster now supports searches for trenches or places. Only problem is that I cannot get a result for either a place name or a trench name. I tried it in both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. It would be a very useful facility - anyone had any success?
jacksdad Posted 16 January , 2014 Share Posted 16 January , 2014 McMasters - a fantastic site, if only it worked on a regular basis...
CROONAERT Posted 17 January , 2014 Share Posted 17 January , 2014 It would be a very useful facility - anyone had any success? None whatsoever! (Mind you, I've had that many problems with the McMasters site that I've all but given up on it anyway) Dave

mick1234 Posted 17 January , 2014 Share Posted 17 January , 2014 Just tried McMasters and the search facility seems to be working good. For example I put in "Festubert" in place names and it immediately showed the map reference for Festubert. Got a list of about five trenches when I entered "Oxford Street". If it keeps working this is a great facility. mick

WhiteStarLine Posted 18 January , 2014 Author Share Posted 18 January , 2014 Mike, thanks for contacting them and getting it fixed. It is probably what I should have done in the first place. I guess on the positive side over 100 people have viewed this topic and now know of the new facility and thanks to Mike and McMaster, it works! A good outcome ...
