Hi

I am researching a Joe Bruce Harmon (b.1897), 111081, Royal Warwickshire Regt Remount Squadron ASC.

I am fairly sure that I can read on his record that he was awarded the DCM, but I can't find any reference to it in the London Gazette.

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers

32548 Joe Harmon has a record on Ancestry awarded the DCM citation included. This is the one I have found on the LG , BUT his name is spelt with an "a" not an "o" Ralph

He appears to have another number 16429 after transferring to a cavalry regiment

That's him his citation is about five pages in, plus a letter from him signed J Harmon DCM.

Hi,

I am interested to read that you are researching Joe Harmon. He comes from our parish and is one of the soldiers we have researched in connection with our WW1 commemoration project. I think from your comments you have already tracked down his service record and the DCM citation but I may be able to help with other local information. And if you have any personal information or photos, I would be delighted to hear from you.

Thanks.

Karin
