I have this photo of a Lincolnshire chap but have no idea with which regiment he served or service number etc. If the forum can assist with the cap badge it will be a major clue although the definition is somewhat dodgy.Thanks for any efforts made.

The question now posed is:

The attached image has recently been acquired relating to my man. Can any chum tell me which field company the 2/1st City of Dundee became as there are several with the name Dundee and which Division they were assigned to.

Have not yet located his MIC card.

This is the only RE engineer man I can find. F W Vickers. There are two William's but niether are RE.
