Can anyone help with info on WW2?

My father was in the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers,in 1940 he went into hospital for a week and when he came out he was on the Y list for two months.

Does anyone know what the "Y list" was?

Welcome to the Forum Alan

Regretfully, you asking the wrong question on the wrong Forum, as this one relates purely to the First World War 1914- 1918.

You will probably get an answer to your question from http://ww2talk.com - they are quite a knowledgeable group of people on matters relating to the Second World War.

Looking forward to answering any WW1 questions
