GraemeClarke Posted 21 November , 2013 Share Posted 21 November , 2013 Gerry There was nothing attached to your thread. I'm supposing that something was supposed to be there. BTW PPCLI is Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry Regards, Graeme

Ron Clifton Posted 21 November , 2013 Share Posted 21 November , 2013 Hello Don Don Bentham was a Lieut[enant] in 2nd Bn King's Own Yokshire Light Infantry. Curwen, as you guessed, was in the Loyal Regiment (North Lancashire). Thornton was in the Royal Army Medical Corps. Toovey was in the Northumberland Fusiliers. He may have been in the 5th Bn, but the NF still used their unofficial designation of 5th, their pre-1881 ranking among the regiments of Foot. SteveE Posted 21 November , 2013 Share Posted 21 November , 2013 Gerry I believe the following is what's shown on your list..... BENTHAM, Lieut. A. E., 2nd K.O.Y.L.I. (BENTHAM, A. E., 2nd Bn. King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry) CURWEN, 2nd Lieut. J. S. , L.N.L. (CURWEN, John Spedding, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment) LYLE, Lieut. H., P.P.C.L.I. (LYLE, H., Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry) THORNTON, Capt. C. V., R.A.M.C. (THORNTON, Conyngham Vernon, Royal Army Medical Corps) TOOVEY, Lieut., A. N., 5th N. Fusiliers. (TOOVEY, Alfred Norman, Northumberland Fusiliers*) Regards Steve * I'm not sure whether the 5th N. Fusiliers relates to the 5th Bn. of the Northumberland Fusiliers or whether it's referring to the fact that the Northumberland Fusiliers were originally the 5th (Northumberland Fusiliers) Regiment of Foot.
