Lala Baba ?

Through the kindness of Mr Colin Grant, the Berks Yeomanry Museum has been loaned two albums of photos and press cuttings about Major ES Gooch, who led the Regiment on 21-8-1915 and subsequently died of wounds.

There is one or two taken at Gallipoli including this one which I believe to be taken at Lala Baba on the morning of 21st August.

Now I've only been out to Gallipoli once, but what about you frequent visitors (Martin G., etc.) What do you think ?

I have a comparison photo taken 2003 with some of the lads from 94 Berkshire Yeomanry Signal Squadron swimming at Lala Baba too. which I will dig out and post Tuesday
