Yet another unit location request :)

Can anyone let me know where the 4th South Staffs were on the 22 January 1918 and what they were doing, please?

Many thanks :D

Lee,

I have passed on to me an account written by a Mary Bonsall about her Father Harold Drabble (who came from my home village) of his time in the 4th South Staffs and her record for January 1918 shows the following :-

1st Jan Divisional Reserve

8th Jan. Lagnicourt, into line. very cold.

15th Jan. Reserve. Wiring work Hirondelle Valley. One party shelled, 2 dead 7 wounded.

27th Jan. Lagnicourt. Bgd. support.

Regards, Cliff. Hobson
