Mac657 Posted 12 November , 2013 Share Posted 12 November , 2013 Hello all, what are peoples thoughts on undisposed medals ? i have a number of relatives MIC's but this is the first one that has this noted. They are noted as "undisposed of" on the MIC of my great uncle, dated 1923. There is a correspondance address on the MIC which is dated "1924". is it just a case that they could not find my g/uncle to issue them ? I suppose he could have refused them, but i don't know why he would have ? If they were never issued are they still claimable ? Many thanks, Mac. LarsA Posted 12 November , 2013 Share Posted 12 November , 2013 If they were not issued they cannot be claimed any longer. ATB, Lars
Coldstreamer Posted 12 November , 2013 Share Posted 12 November , 2013 not being able to find him is quite a likely theory There will be many many reasons why medals didn't get claimed
