John-w Posted 27 February , 2014 Share Posted 27 February , 2014 Arthur Whitaker is my great uncle. His middle name was Thomas, I can see from the scans of the postcard why this has been displayed as J! I have been slowly researching his army career for a while now, needless to say I'm sad to have missed those postcards and at the same time curious how they eventually ended up on an ebay auction. My Dad (87) does have some of Arthurs letters and papers, which were discovered in my Grandparents attic in Kildwick when they moved to the south of England in the early eighties.
