The frame houses a scroll with the brothers names and units from George v R I. All medals are fully engraved plaques have their names. Was present at August Offensive and earlier actions. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Black, of Spring Creek, Marton, New Zealand. Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta. John Black died of wounds in UK ex France 11 October 1916, at the age of 21. Wounded on Somme. Son of Alexander Black, of Spring Creek, Marton, New Zealand. This certificate measures 45x38 cm an is issued to CORPORAL LAWRENCE BLOMFIELD. It mentions he saw service in the WESTERN EUROPEAN theatre of war in 1918. He was awarded the British War Medal, and the Victory Medal.
