Belgian Civilian and French Army Typhoid Epidemics 1914-15

Does anyone have some information on the above events in 1914-15. I am researching the part played by 4 Mobile (Hygiene) Laboratory. RAMC. This was commanded by Lt (later Major) Myer Coplans RAMC and there are various references to the outbreaks in Dr Coplan's obituaries in 1961. I believe Myer Coplans and another member of the Unit Sgt Ernest Suckling were both mentioned in despatches for their part in the measures taken to control the epidemics.

Many thanks

The Friends Ambulance Unit carried out a great deal of work during the civilian typhoid epidemic. There may be some useful information in their record "The Friends' Ambulance Unit. 1914-1919."

If you have any specific dates and places of interest I could take a look for you.

I don't have the exact dates, however the 4 Mobile Hygiene Laboratory RAMC went to the Western Front on 18th November 1914 and the London Gazette announced the award of the MIS on 31/13/1915. Therefore the typhoid outbreaks would have been between these dates. Any information would be gratefully received.Thank you
