The gentleman attached is supposed to be Albert Victor Wright who is in the 1911 census /what is his uniform

Regards T Brading

I am also led to believe that this regiment the second Hampshire returned from India to England then to Italy or France it is possible that the person in question was killed in WW1.he is not listed in the CWGC site .

The uniform appears to be Hampshire Regiment and some form of dress or tropical whites ( I do not know the correct name) I cannot find an Albert Victor Wright in the Hampshire Regt with WW1 service. The fact he is shown in the 1911 census may suggest that he had left the army prior to 1911.

A fair chance it was Bermuda 1905-1907. Otherwise choose from these:

1903-1905 Malta

1907-1911 South Africa

1911-1913 Mauritius

1913-1914 India

Any clues from a clear pic of the second half of your illustrations ? The crest for instance ?
