Guest Algi67 Posted 28 September , 2013 Posted 28 September , 2013 Hi, I am trying to find out more information regarding the Kent Cycle Batallion. I have photographs of the unit on their bikes, and can time line them to Dover 1909 27th July (day Bleriot landed).I have photographs of them in Tankerton in 1910. I know that they did not go overseas, as like my Great Grand Father some of them held reserved occupations...but any info gratefully received

Phil Eyden Posted 10 January , 2014 Posted 10 January , 2014 I'm not sure if this is of any interest, but I was exploring the chalk mine caves at Eastry a couple of weeks ago and found the tunnels were packed with graffiti. This appears to be one of the Kent Cyclists from 1914. http://imageshack.com/a/img21/2966/oja0.jpg
