Hi Folks

I found a war medal in Sweden , and the name on it is B. O. Sandell , I have tried Ancestry and cant seem to find anything on him. Can any one tell how i find out about him , and what he did and where he served etc etc .

B Oskar Sandell was born in Sweden on 7th December, 1892.

He was awarded the British War Medal and Mercantile Marine Medal, details of which can be found on the National Archives website under the following reference
http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/SearchUI/Details?uri=D8089247

His photograph and other details of his Mercantile Marine service can be found on Findmypast.

Hope this helps
