BillyH Posted 7 September , 2013 Author Share Posted 7 September , 2013 Graeme, My man died of wounds in hospital (at Wimereux) on 15th, so I knew he had received his wounds at least a couple of days earlier. But after reading your excerpt it seems obvious that it would have been on the 9th. (SDGW gives 113 men KIA on that day!)
